A group of youths under the aegis of Ikale Youth Vanguard has called on the Ondo State House of Assembly Member, representing Okitipupa State Constituency II, Hon. Gbegudu Ololade to stop begging the electorate for votes.
In a statement by the President of the group, Comrade Dare Omopariola said on Wednesday that the Lawmaker should tell constituents his achievements in the past three years as a member of the State Assembly if he truly needs the support of the people for a second term.
The group berated the Lawmaker, describing his three years as a member of the State Assembly as a colossal waste.
In his words, he said, “there is a popular saying that one good turn deserves another. No performer seeking re-election will beg for votes, rather, a performer should be able to list his achievements to convince his constituents to get support after being tested for the first time.
“Instead of Honourable Gbegudu to show his achievements to us in Okitipupa State Constituency II, he is busy begging constituents for forgiveness because the election is near, and he wants a second term. I doubt if the people he neglected more than three years ago can forgive him now”, the statement said.
Hon Gbegudu Telephone line could not be reached when Starnews Nigeria put a phone call across to him for reaction.
