Already Qualified Nigeria beat already Eliminated Canada 3-1 in the early hours today in Alajuela.

 

Having defeated France and South Korea in the first two matches, Nigeria knew a point was needed to emerge group winner but fell behind early in the match as Novak put Canada ahead

 

Esther onyenezide’s first half penalties handed Nigeria a deserved lead.

 

Neither sides could not find further goals as both defences were resolute until Chioma Olise tapped in a pinpointed cross to seal the match for Nigeria.
