Buhari Blows Hot, Says My Return In 2019 Non-negotiable

— Nigerians will resist any form of rigging in 2019, PDP Senatorial Candidate, Tofowomo, replies Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has urged his supporters not to panic, saying his return to power in 2019 is non-negotiable.

According to the Guardian, Buhari made the disclosure yesterday at the National Consultative Forum of the National Committee of Buhari Support Groups held in Abuja.

He also described those seeking to unseat him in next year’s general elections as enemies who stole from the nation blindly and should be avoided.

Buhari, who was represented by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, cited infrastructural development, fight against corruption, Treasury Single Account and school feeding programme as some of the achievements that have endeared him to the people.

Meanwhile, the Senatorial Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party in Ondo South, Otunba Nicholas Tofowomo, has described President Muhammadu Buhari’s statement as undemocratic.

While addressing a mammoth crowd of PDP supporters in Odigbo local government of Ondo State, Tofowomo  said that the statement credited to President Buhari shouldn’t have come from him being a man who benefited from free and fair election in 2015.

He said that Nigerians will resist any form of rigging in 2019 if that was the basis for such statement by the President.

“Buhari cannot promised free and fair elections, yet announced to the world that his re-election is ‘non negotiable. The statement is undemocratic. A president should not be speaking with both sides of the mouth.

“Such statement shouldn’t have come from an elected president like Buhari who rode to power through democracy. Nigerians will resist any form of rigging in 2019 election. Jonathan allowed free and fair election that produced Buhari in 2015 even as an incumbent president.

“Buhari should not because of his political ambition create war in Nigeria. Nigerians are tired of his administration and are ready to vote him out in 2019. He must not dare to rig the general election and truncate democracy. I can assure you that Nigerians will rise up and resist any form of rigging in 2019 without minding the consequences, Tofowomo said.
