According to reliable sources, it has been gathered that the Nigeria Super Eagles Gaffer had his contract terminated based on mutual agreement.
Coach Gernot has been said to have sent messages to his players informing them that he is leaving and he has gone back to his base in France.
Ever since then The Nigeria Super Eagles fans have been Expectant of a new Gaffer and the NFF (Nigeria Football Federation) also have been saddled with a lot of responsibility knowing that the Africa Cup of Nations is 38 days away from now.
According to our research, there are four leading candidates for the Job
1. Emmanuel Amuneke
This is the Only Indigenous Coach on the List, Amuneke a Nigerian Legend (45-year-old) who also led the Nigeria Golden Eaglets, to Glory at the U-17 World cup 2015.

The Former Super Eagles Coach, (75-year-old Tactician) that led Nigeria to his First Olympics Football Victory also threw himself open for the Job in a letter he wrote to NFF and stated there “I can Resurrect the Super Eagles”
3. Juan Antonio Pizzi
The Former Spanish International (53 years old) has Coached Saudi Arabia, Valencia, and Chile.
He led Chile to become Copa America Champions and also to the final of the FIFA Confederations Cup. He also contacted the NFF hierarchies informing them that he is available and interested in the Job.
4. Lastly Malden Krastjic
The Former Serbian international (47 years old) has been said to be consulted by the NFF to take on the Job
