I’m Worried How PDP Will Win General Election In Okitipupa, Irele Over Leadership Greed —Bitire

Fomer chairman of Okitipupa Local Government and People Democratic Party (PDP) Aspirant for Okitipupa State constituency II of Ondo State House of Assembly, Hon. Solomon Bitire, has attributed his loss of PDP primary election to what he described as political gang up due to selfishness.

While pledging his loyalty to his party, PDP, at Okitipupa, Bitire appreciated all the party executives and delegates who  voted for him during the primary election at Okitipupa who considered his electoral value instead of monetary gains unlike others who acted against public opinion and party interest for the sake of their pockets.

He also appreciated those leaders who ganged up against him due to selfishness. But he however warned them to desist from act of wickedness, political gang up which is borne out of selfishness for the sake of future election within the party.

Accordingn to him:

“For the record, I appreciate those who voted me at the primary election. I also appreciate those who ganged up against me. Politics will forever remain politics. But I want to use this medium to warn all the PDP leaders in Okitipupa local goverment to desist from politics of bitterness, wickedness, selfishness and political gang up which is borne out of greed against the interest of the party to  win general election, which is the primary aim of the party to conduct primary election in the first place.

“What we are seeing today is the opposite. It is the opposite because instead of producing candidates with electoral values, our leaders in this local government ended up producing candidates base on monetary gains. Many of them forgot public opinion and party interest to win general election. They were after their pockets not minding the implication of fielding a wrong candidate to face the ruling party at the general election.

“I am not saying this because I lost the primary election but I am saying this because I am worried on how our party will win the general election especially as an opposition party in Ondo state following what transpired within our party in the last few days. I am deeply worried on why our leaders in this local government decided to produce candidates for the general election base on individuals greed and selfishness, Bitire added.
