Sanwo-Olu orders COVID-19 compliance in markets

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has approved the full reopening of both food and non-food markets.

A statement on Tuesday said they could now open daily.

According to the statement, the state Commissioner for Local Government and Community Affairs, Dr Wale Ahmed, said the governor took the decision to enhance trade and commerce, while mitigating the hardship of recent times and ensuring that Lagosians recovered fast.

Ahmed noted that traders and their customers must adhere strictly to the COVID-19 protocols for their safety and that of the citizens at large.
