Ondo: Keep hope alive, this time shall pass – Okunomo tells Muslims on Eid-al-Fitr

As Muslims in Nigeria join the rest of the world to celebrate Eid-al-Fitr, Banji Okunomo, the leading governorship aspirant of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State, Sunday morning in Akure told the Muslims in the State to keep hope alive, saying this difficult time shall soon pass away.

In a goodwill message to the Muslims through a telephone interview with Starnews NG, the former council boss said the sufferings and marginalisation of the Muslim Faithful in Ondo State already have a terminal date as the state prepares for the October 10. gubernatorial election.

While felicitating the Muslims on the celebration of Eid-al-Fitr, Okunomo who is popularly known as BBO also asked the Muslims to be thankful to God for the grace to witness and celebrate another Sallah amid COVID-19 in Nigeria.

” I felicitate the Muslims in Ondo State on the celebration of Eid-al-Fitr. I appeal to them to keep hope alive because this difficult time shall soon pass away.”

”God has heard their cries. We are aware of their sufferings and marginalisation but there is a terminal date already for such. It won’t last long as we prepare for the gubernatorial election in Ondo State.”

”Above all, they should be thankful to God for the grace to witness and celebrate another Sallah amid COVID-19 in Nigeria,” Okunomo said.
