JUST IN: Tension in House of Reps as female lawmakers argue over Rivers crisis

A heated exchange erupted in the House of Representatives on Wednesday as two female lawmakers engaged in a shouting match over the political situation in Rivers State.

Marie Ebikake (PDP, Bayelsa) and Blessing Amadi (PDP, Rivers) clashed over the constitutionality of the President’s decision regarding the state just before plenary began.

Efforts by other lawmakers to intervene prevented the confrontation from escalating further.

Amidst the commotion, some members were seen banging tables and making bold declarations, while others appeared ready for a more intense showdown.

Meanwhile, several lawmakers huddled in discussions, debating the unfolding political developments before the session commenced.
