In a heart-wrenching audio message sent to Starnews NG by a kinsman, Prince Eniola Ojajuni, the Afenifere Youth Leader who was kidnapped on February 17, 2025, while traveling to Abuja, has made a desperate cry for help, revealing that he is nearing the end of his endurance in the kidnappers’ den.
His frail and weak voice echoed a profound sense of urgency as he pleaded for the last lap of funds needed to pay his ransom.
Despite the deployment of the Intelligence Response Team by Inspector-General of Police Kayode Egbetokun, the ongoing efforts to secure Ojajuni’s release have yet to yield any significant results. This backdrop of frustration adds to the urgency of his situation, as family and friends anxiously await news of his safe return.
In the emotional recording, Starnews NG reports that Ojajuni expressed his despair and desperation. “They’ve brought the ransom down. The total money we raised, they’ve accepted what we raised,” he said, his voice trembling with fear and vulnerability. “Their boss says that I must pay 5 million naira now, along with two power banks. We bought the power banks yesterday. It remains 5 million naira. Out of that, my wife has only been able to raise N200,000 naira.”
In a heartfelt appeal, he continued, “Even if it is a loan, I will pay it back when I am out of this place. I am the only one left here. Others have been released after meeting all the conditions. I will pay back anyone who can raise me the five million naira within one month. Let it be put on record, I’m going to pay back. I don’t want to die; I have children, and my wife is heavily pregnant.”
Ojajuni’s voice quivered as he added, “By 10 o’clock, the money must be completed. I don’t want anything to happen to me. Everybody else has left; they have released all the others, and I’m the one left. This is my last wish”, he pleaded.
