Repairs Ongoing on Vandalized Power Cable in Abuja – TCN

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) is still working to fix the underground power cable damaged by vandals near Millennium Park in Abuja.

The incident, which happened three weeks ago, disrupted electricity supply to parts of the Presidential Villa and about 60% of the Federal Capital Territory.

TCN confirmed on Tuesday that engineers are replacing the stolen 132-kilovolt cable and reconnecting it to the transmission network.

The goal is to restore bulk power supply to the affected areas as soon as possible.

The company assured the public that its technical team is working round the clock to complete the repairs and minimize further disruptions.

TCN also urged residents to remain patient as efforts continue to restore normal power transmission.
