The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has announced a 15% increase in tariffs, marking the first adjustment in 32 years.
Speaking at a stakeholders’ meeting in Lagos on Thursday, NPA’s Managing Director, Abubakar Dantsoho, disclosed the development. He was represented by the Executive Director of Marine and Operations, Olalekan Badmus.
The agency noted that tariffs had remained unchanged for over three decades despite significant economic shifts, including exchange rate fluctuations, rising wages, increased fuel costs, and inflation.
