Breaking: Gunmen Kidnap 10 Travellers in Ondo

At least 10 travellers were kidnapped by gunmen along the Owo-Ipele-Benin Highway in Ondo State on February 4, 2025.

The victims were reportedly returning from a South-South state to Akure when the attackers ambushed them. Their commercial vehicle was later found abandoned by the roadside, leading other drivers to alert authorities.

Ondo State police spokesperson, Funmi Odunlami, confirmed the incident, stating that seven people were abducted. Investigations are ongoing, and more updates will be shared as they unfold.

Sources revealed that the kidnappers have contacted the victims’ families to demand ransom for their release.
