Renowned Nollywood actor Ibrahim Chatta has asserted that Nigerian singer Davido is wealthier and more influential than his billionaire father, Adedeji Adeleke.
Chatta made this statement in a recent video where he was filmed speaking to young people about respect and age.
The clip, shared by popular prankster @kingofprank_1 on Instagram, shows Chatta discussing the importance of showing respect, regardless of age.
In the video, Chatta emphasized his deep respect for Queen Badira, the young wife of the late Alaafin of Oyo, stating that although she is young, she commands respect because of her position as a queen and her association with someone he greatly admires.
Chatta argued that respect is earned through accomplishments, not age, and cited the example of Alexander the Great, who, despite his young age at the time of his death, achieved extraordinary feats that many other leaders could not match.
He continued by pointing out that Davido, although young, is deserving of the title of elder because of his accomplishments. Chatta remarked that despite his father’s wealth, Davido himself has become more influential and prosperous due to his own efforts.
According to Chatta:
“A young person who has the qualities of an elder is not a child just because of their age. Alexander the Great started ruling at 20 and died at 33, yet his achievements surpassed those of many other powerful leaders. He completed his life’s work by 33, so calling him a child is a misunderstanding of what an elder truly is.
“Wizkid is an elder. The day I sat down with Davido, I was struck by the people around him, those who would protect him at any cost. He is an elder. Yes, Davido’s father is a billionaire and has built an empire, but Davido himself shines in ways his father cannot. If you see Davido in Oyo, you’ll immediately recognize him, but you might not even know his father if he passed by. Davido commands that level of recognition and power.”
