VIDEO: Pastor Kumuyi Offers Prayers at U.S. President’s Inauguration Event

The General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor William Kumuyi, participated in a special program held in anticipation of President Donald Trump’s inauguration in the United States.

The event, titled the Inauguration Praise and Prayer Convocation, took place at the Greater New Hope Baptist Church and was organized by Jim Garlow’s Well Versed World ministry in collaboration with Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council.

This gathering brought together faith leaders and believers to pray for the nation and its incoming administration.

During the program, Pastor Kumuyi delivered a prayer challenge to the American church and its leaders, urging them to pursue holiness and righteousness as crucial steps toward spiritual renewal and national revival.

“Almighty God, we thank You and bless Your name,” Kumuyi prayed. “What a great and glorious God You are. I want to thank You, Lord, for the church in America. You said, upon this rock, You would build Your church – not just for that generation but for every generation, and You promised that the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it.

“Lord, as we prepare for the celebration of Donald Trump as president tomorrow, we ask that You grant him wisdom. We pray for unity within the church, revival, knowledge, vision, and the courage to speak truth to power. May the connection between the church and the leader foster a positive unity, helping the President while ensuring the church continues to fulfill its mission.

“Revive Your church, restore it, and purge it so that holiness and righteousness may flourish, allowing the church to have a meaningful ministry both in government and for America.”

On the eve of the inauguration, Kumuyi also offered a prayer during an interview with SRN News: “Almighty God, You have chosen President-Elect Donald Trump to lead at this time. We ask that Your grace be with him through Your wisdom and power. Help him remain focused on the principles he championed during his campaign, giving Christ the recognition and honor He deserves. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.”

During his visit, Kumuyi met with former North Carolina representative Robert Pittenger, Turning Point USA Faith’s Senior Director Lucas Miles, and various media representatives.

Today, Donald Trump will officially be sworn in as the 47th President of the United States. The oath of office will be administered by Chief Justice John Roberts during the inauguration ceremony in Washington, D.C.
