TikTok users in the U.S. can breathe easy again after the app was reactivated, just hours after facing a federal shutdown.
The restoration came after President-elect Donald Trump announced plans to delay the ban by issuing an executive order on his first day in office, The Sun reports.
This decision aims to give ByteDance, TikTok’s parent company, additional time to find an American buyer before the ban fully takes effect.
Users who logged in Sunday were greeted with a message of thanks for their support, referencing Trump’s efforts to ensure that service providers would not face penalties.
