Poll: Aiyedatiwa Casts Vote, Harps On LG Autonomy

Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, participated in the state’s local government elections on Saturday, highlighting the critical role of local government autonomy in fostering grassroots development.

In a statement released by the Chief Press Secretary, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, Governor Aiyedatiwa reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting the effective operation of local governments in compliance with the law.

The Governor cast his vote at Polling Unit 5, Ugbo Ward 4, in Ilaje Local Government Area and expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the election.

Addressing journalists after voting, Aiyedatiwa commended the Ondo State Independent Electoral Commission (ODIEC) for organizing a seamless electoral process.

He also appreciated the citizens of Ondo State for turning out to participate in the election, emphasizing its importance for grassroots progress.
