The Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) has alerted Nigerians to avoid fraudulent websites claiming to offer teaching recruitment opportunities.
This warning came from UBEC’s Public Relations Officer, David Apeh, during a conversation in Abuja.
According to him, the commission is not conducting any recruitment at the moment, and the circulating websites are not legitimate, Daily Nigerian reports.
Previously, former Minister of State for Education, Dr. Yusuf Sununu, announced plans for the government to recruit 3,500 teachers to improve education standards.
However, UBEC clarified that no recruitment portal has been opened yet.
Mr. Apeh emphasized that the commission will officially inform the public when recruitment begins, urging individuals to stay cautious and rely on verified sources for updates.
