Tinubu to Attend Ghana’s Presidential Inauguration January 7

President Bola Tinubu is set to travel from Abuja to Accra on January 6, 2025, to witness the swearing-in of Ghana’s President-elect, John Mahama.

Mahama, who previously led Ghana from 2011 to 2017, won reelection in December 2024 and will replace outgoing President Nana Akuffo-Addo.

Tinubu, serving as the Chair of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government, will join other African leaders for the event.

His visit follows an earlier meeting with Mahama in December. Accompanying Tinubu will be Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, and key government officials.
