CP Wilfred Olatokunbo Afolabi has assumed the role of Commissioner of Police in Ondo State.

This deployment, approved by the Police Service Commission (PSC), follows the promotion of his predecessor, CP Oladipo Abayomi, to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police.

Afolabi, from Yagba East in Kogi State, is part of a broader reshuffle that saw five other commissioners deployed across various states.

These changes align with recent promotions within the Nigeria Police Force, aiming to enhance leadership in key commands.

The PSC highlighted that these appointments reflect efforts to strengthen the operational capacity of state commands.

Afolabi’s new role is expected to drive security measures and crime prevention strategies in Ondo State.

The commission has pledged to monitor the performance of the newly appointed commissioners, emphasizing the importance of their roles in addressing security challenges nationwide.
