Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue State have endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term, vowing to secure overwhelming votes for his reelection in 2027.

The endorsement was made during a meeting of party elders representing the state’s 23 local government areas. The gathering, led by Second Republic Senator Jacob Tilley Gyado, praised President Tinubu for his inclusive leadership, particularly his recognition of Benue through the appointment of key figures into his administration.

“President Tinubu has demonstrated strong support for Benue State. In return, we pledge to deliver massive votes to secure his reelection,” the stakeholders affirmed.

The group also voiced concerns over alleged attempts to remove Senator George Akume as Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF). They described Akume as a cornerstone of Benue and North Central politics, lauding his significant contributions to the region’s political and social development.

“Senator Akume is a round peg in a round hole,” they declared. “He is our leader and a vital force in Benue and the entire North Central region.”

The stakeholders condemned any efforts to destabilize the party in Benue State and reaffirmed their loyalty to Senator Akume and APC State Chairman Comrade Austin Agada. They called on party members to set aside differences and work together for the party’s success in upcoming elections.

They further attributed Akume’s appointment as SGF to his wealth of experience, political maturity, and dedication to national progress. Expressing confidence in his leadership, they assured that Akume would continue to strengthen the party in Benue and the North Central zone.

As a show of unwavering support, the group pledged to deliver an overwhelming victory for President Tinubu in 2027, promising a “100 over 100” result from Benue State.
