Okpebholo Restructures Public Service Commissions

Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State has begun a comprehensive restructuring of the state’s public service by dissolving all existing commissions.

This decision, effective immediately, was communicated by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor.

The affected bodies include the Edo State Independent Electoral Commission, Civil Service Commission, Oil and Gas Producing Areas Development Commission, Forestry Commission, House of Assembly Service Commission, State Audit Service Commission, and Judicial Service Commission.

Chairpersons and members of these commissions are instructed to transfer all government assets in their possession to the senior-most public officers within their respective organizations.
