Ex Sports Minister Bolaji Abdullahi Exits PDP

By Our Correspondent

Bolaji Abdullahi, a former minister of sports and youth development, has officially parted ways with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

His decision was revealed in a letter addressed to the party’s ward chairman in Ubadawaki, Kwara State, on December 16.

In the letter, Abdullahi described the move as a tough choice made after careful thought.

While expressing appreciation to the PDP leadership for past opportunities, he stated that stepping away felt like the only viable option at this point.

A key political figure in Kwara, Abdullahi was the PDP candidate for the Kwara central senatorial election in 2023 but lost to Salihu Mustapha of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Abdullahi has not disclosed his next political affiliation, leaving his supporters curious about his future direction.
