FG Approves Take off Of Ogun International Airport

The Gateway Agro-Cargo International Airport in Ogun State has received clearance for commercial operations after inspections by key aviation regulatory bodies.

Located along the Ilisan-Iperu axis, the airport has been confirmed to meet global standards, with facilities deemed ready for use.

Inspectors from the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, Nigerian Airspace Management Agency, and Nigerian Meteorological Agency reviewed critical aspects such as the control tower, weather systems, runway, and safety measures.

They expressed confidence in the airport’s ability to deliver efficient services, calling it a model for modern infrastructure.

Officials noted that the project, nearing full completion, represents a significant milestone for Ogun State under Governor Dapo Abiodun’s administration.

With the final assessment complete, the airport is set to boost the region’s economic and transportation capabilities, positioning Ogun as a key player in aviation services within Nigeria and beyond.
