Tony Okocha, the newly elected chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, has declared the party’s readiness to take over governance in the state by 2027.
In his acceptance speech following his election, Okocha highlighted the peaceful conduct of the congress as a testament to the unity and strength within the APC. He dismissed opposition claims that the party lacks the capacity to organize credible elections, insisting that the APC is on the path to success.
“Those who said APC cannot conduct elections were wrong. APC will not only conduct elections but also win and take charge of governance in Rivers State,” Okocha asserted.
He called on party members and supporters to work together toward achieving victory, vowing to replace the current administration.
“By 2027, with God on our side and your support, the APC will take over the reins of power in Rivers State and provide the leadership the people deserve,” Okocha affirmed.
