Newly elected Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and his deputy, Olayide Adelami, have presented their Certificates of Return to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The event, which highlighted the success of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state’s 2024 governorship election, was attended by APC National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje and Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji.
Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed gratitude to the people of Ondo State for their overwhelming support and assured them of more developmental initiatives.
He also commended President Tinubu for providing a level playing field during the election process, which saw the APC win convincingly across all 18 local government areas of Ondo State.
Aiyedatiwa defeated his closest rival, Agboola Ajayi of the PDP, with 366,781 votes to Ajayi’s 117,845.
