58yrs-old woman arrested for theft

 

A 58-year-old woman, identified as Busayo Komolafe, appeared before the Badagry Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos on Thursday, facing allegations of stealing property valued at N400,000.

Komolafe was accused of felony and theft, charges to which she pleaded not guilty.

According to the prosecutor, Clément Okuiomose, the alleged incidents occurred around 5:22 p.m. on April 27 in Ikoga, Badagry, Lagos.

Mr Okuiomose said the defendant conspired with others now at large to break into the complainant’s house, Omolara Ogunsola.

He said the defendant stole household property valued at N400,000 belonging to the complainant.

The prosecutor said that the offences contravened Sections 411 and 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos state, 2015.

The chief magistrate, A.J. Aina, granted Komolafe bail of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum.

Mr Aina adjourned the case until May 27 for mention.
