24th Morubodo Day Celebration: Aiyedatiwa Commends Ilutitun Community

The vibrant Ilutitun community in Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State welcomed esteemed guests and residents for the festive observance of the 24th Morubodo Day. This significant event showcased the rich cultural traditions and solidarity of the Ilutitun people, filled with spirited celebrations and a hopeful outlook for the community’s future.

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, represented by Pst. Olusegun Aiyerin, expressed his appreciation for the steadfast support shown by the Ilutitun community during the recent gubernatorial elections. He recognized their vital role in his administration’s achievements and promised to deliver tangible benefits from democratic governance in return.

In his speech, the Governor’s envoy reiterated the administration’s dedication to promoting growth in Ilutitun and across Ondo State. “We are sincerely thankful for the trust and backing you have provided. Our government is committed to addressing your needs through effective projects and policies that enhance the overall living conditions for everyone here,” Pst. Aiyerin remarked.

The Morubodo Day festivities also included cultural exhibitions, awards of recognition, and discussions centered on fostering the community’s development. Leaders and community members expressed their gratitude for the Governor’s commitments, highlighting the importance of sustained collaboration between the government and the local populace.

Chief Launcher’s Pledge and Generosity

Dr. Olumuyiwa Daramola, the chief launcher for the event, conveyed his appreciation to community leaders for the honor bestowed upon him. He vowed to remain dedicated to the community’s advancement and to continually respond to its invitations. In a generous gesture, Dr. Daramola donated ₦2 million to bolster ongoing development efforts.

MDC Chairman Reviews Achievements

Sir Sehinde Akinbuwa, the Chairman of the Morubodo Development Council (MDC), congratulated HRM Oba Earnest Adeoye Idepefo, the foremost ruler of the Morubodo Kingdom, for the notable peace and progress experienced in the community.

He lauded all MDC members, both locally and internationally, for their unwavering support and praised the Morubodo Day Planning Committee for orchestrating a successful event. Sir Akinbuwa also highlighted the council’s significant accomplishments over the past four years, including:

  • Grassroots educational development programs.
  • Various welfare projects aimed at enhancing residents’ lives.

In his royal address, HRM Oba Earnest Adeoye Idepefo, the Kabiyesi of Morubodo Kingdom, extended heartfelt thanks to all sons and daughters of the community for their dedication, prayers, and contributions. He invoked blessings from the deities of the land upon all community members.
