After 24 hours the Action Alliance (AA) in Ondo-State disowned all its candidates to support the PDP and its candidates, the Ondo State chapter of the Allied Congress Party of Nigeria (ACPN) on Thursday endorsed the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and all its candidates across the State ahead of the general election on Saturday this week.
This was contained in a statement issued after the state executive council meeting of the party.
The party has directed all its members and teeming supporters to give support and vote for all the PDP candidates in all the elections that will take place on Saturday.
According to the state executive, the resolutions to support the PDP and its candidates was based on the failures of the APC’s administration to tackle the economic problems confronting Nigeria.
The statement was signed by the state Secretary of ACPN, Hon. Alex Akinnawonu, High chief Nenuwa , Senatorial chairman of ACPN in Ondo South, and all the chairmen of various local government executives of ACPN in Ondo-State.
“After the state executives of our party resolved to endorse the PDP and its candidates ahead of Saturday’s election due to the failures of the APC’s administration to tackle the economic problems confronting Nigeria, we hereby direct all our members and teeming supporters in Ondo State to support and vote for the PDP and all its candidates in all the elections on Saturday this week,” the statement added.
This type of endorsement is second of its kind in less down 24 hours.
Yesterday, the Action Alliance (AA) in Ondo-State disowned all their candidates to endorse the PDP and its candidates across the 18 Local governments of the State, thereby, leaving Mr. Olatunji Felder and barr Tunji Abayomi, Senatorial candidates of AA in Ondo South and North respectively in a state of dilemma.
