A socio-political organization, the South East Renewed Hope Agenda (SERHA), has voiced strong support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, urging northern politicians considering a bid for the 2027 presidential election to put their ambitions on hold.
According to Politics Nigeria, in a statement titled “2027: Tinubu or Nobody”, the group’s South East Coordinator, Belusochukwu Enwere, emphasized their confidence in Tinubu’s leadership, citing his achievements in addressing critical challenges facing Nigeria.
“Although there are debates surrounding the state of the economy, Tinubu’s efforts to stabilize governance and implement critical policies cannot be overlooked. His administration has made significant progress in tackling pressing national issues,” Enwere said.
Enwere also referenced Tinubu’s recent commissioning of projects in Enugu State as proof of his commitment to advancing development in the South East region.
He praised the President’s resolve in promoting peace, security, and socio-economic reforms, stressing that Tinubu remains the best candidate to steer Nigeria forward.
“To those in the North contemplating a run in 2027, we advise patience. Tinubu deserves to complete his eight-year tenure—4 + 4 equals 8,” he remarked.
The group reaffirmed its unwavering support for Tinubu’s re-election bid, declaring their determination to ensure his leadership continues beyond 2027. They described their stance as a “No Retreat, No Surrender” mission, asserting that Tinubu’s vision for poverty alleviation and economic transformation leaves no room for alternative leadership at this time.
