A prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and seasoned public administrator, Hon. Khairat Animashaun-Ajiboye, has expressed concern over rumors of Seyi Tinubu’s alleged endorsement for the 2027 Lagos governorship election.
Describing the development as a deliberate attempt to undermine President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, Hon. Animashaun-Ajiboye cautioned against distractions that could derail the president’s ongoing governance efforts.
She remarked, “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is working tirelessly with his dedicated team to deliver good governance and inclusive leadership. This rumored endorsement is a product of youthful exuberance and self-serving interests, designed to create unnecessary distractions.”
The APC chieftain clarified that the Lagos State chapter of the party has officially disassociated itself from the endorsement saga. According to her, the party’s immediate focus is on the 2025 Congress and Local Government Elections, not the 2027 governorship race.
She added, “At this critical time, Lagos needs a selfless and visionary leader — a true Lagosian who understands the struggles of the poor, the challenges of the middle class, and the aspirations of the business community. We must prioritize unity and progress over unnecessary political drama.”
Hon. Animashaun-Ajiboye urged APC members and stakeholders to remain focused on the party’s goals and align their efforts with President Tinubu’s vision for national development.
